Frequently Asked Questions

The five things to know before you book.

The questions that come up on every estimate call — answered the same way we’d answer them over the phone.

How does pricing work — and what’s the “beat most prices” promise?

Pricing starts with a free, no-obligation estimate. We walk the property or review your request, send a written quote, and never add surprise line items once the work is booked. On the standard services we’re priced competitively — we won’t be the cheapest bid in every case, but the quote you receive is the right price for the job being done. That’s what the “we’ll beat most prices — honest pricing, every time” mark on the home page actually means in practice.

How far will you travel — and is my town included?

We're based in Neoga, IL and serve homes within roughly 30 miles of town. Today that includes Neoga, Mattoon, Charleston, Effingham, Shelbyville, Sullivan, Windsor, Strasburg, Stewardson, Toledo, Greenup, Casey, Newton, Altamont, Tuscola, Jewett, Sigel, Montrose, Oblong — and the smaller communities in between. Not on the list? Just reach out — if you're within roughly 30 miles of Neoga, odds are good we can help, and we'll tell you right away. See the full service-area page for the current route.

How does scheduling work — and do members get priority?

Every job runs on a service-week cadence, weather permitting: we confirm a window, drive out, finish the work in one visit, and you get the same two people on the property and on the phone. The path from hello to a finished yard is always the same — a free estimate first, a written quote, then a date on the calendar. Recurring members get the front of the route: member yards go to the front of the route in spring and after storms.

Are you insured — and what happens if something goes wrong?

Yes, we carry liability insurance for the work we do on your property. We’ve had a trimmer line swing a marking flag once — we replaced it. That’s the standard: if our work damages something on your property, we make it right. Two caveats worth flagging up front: we cannot see unmarked underground utilities or irrigation heads, and items left in the lawn (toys, hoses, edging) are the customer’s call to mark or move before we arrive. If you have a known hazard on the property, just tell us before service begins.

What if I need to cancel or skip a week?

Skip any week with 48 hours notice — no penalty. End-of-season cancellation anytime, no penalty. Pause the plan for vacation or extended travel: when you’re back, we pick up where we left off. The one exception is cancellations on the day of service, which may be charged a trip fee because we’re already rolling to the property. That policy is in the recurring mowing agreement so the same terms cover every customer the same way.
